So I've seen people speculating a new TS4 EP, Switch/VR ports, spin-off games, or even TS5 being announced at EA Play. However, in order for anything to be announced The Sims needs to be on stage during EA's press conference. So far the only thing that has been confirmed is that TS4 and The Sims Mobile will be playable on hands-on stations for players to play, with no mentions that they would be on stage. EA also recently released the details about the press conference and The Sims was not mentioned in it.
